This section contains information about what technologies are used to design and implement this site. This site is hosted in a server in the United States. Its Domain name is: ramnatarajan.co.uk, Registered in the name of Ram Natarajan. This site is not just what it looks. This site uses Microsoft technologies mainly. I have discussed few of them below.

Microsoft ASP.net Framework 3.5:	The web part of this site is done using Visual Studio 2008; language used is ASP.net using Framework 3.5. The code behind the mark up pages and the business objects are done in C Sharp (C#).
Microsoft SQL Server 2005:	The application’s backend database is handled by SQL Server 2005.
Microsoft LINQ:	The middle tier engine that helps communication between Database and the front end application is done in Microsoft LINQ using Entity Framework. The code behind in the mark up pages and the web user controls uses LINQ for queries.
Microsoft AJAX:	In this site you can feel the difference it mostly does not perform a page post back as it uses AJAX for asynchronous post backs.
JQuery:	Some of the stylish visual effects and the menu panel are implemented using JQuery. It uses very light weight objects that bring out quality page effects achieved using Java Scripts.
JavaScript:	The site uses Java Scripts to handle few of the client side events and post backs.
Cascaded Style Sheets (CSS):	The site’s design, look and feel is completely achieved by CSS classes.
XML:	The menu panel uses XML as a base for its contents.
Adobe Fireworks CS4:	Some of the images for the master page and some page components are done using Fireworks CS4.

    One last thing about this site, this application would have some cross browser compatibility issues which I am working on at the moment to rectify it. You get the best visual results when this site is explored in Google Chrome. Some of the older version browsers can also get away with few hiccups. If you are thinking of leaving comments about some incompatibility issues please know that I am aware and working on it.
